[Obituary] Prof. Em. F. Ogino

Professor Emeritus Fumimaru Ogino passed away on the 2nd of December in 2024. He was appointed assistant professor of the Department in 1968, was promoted to associate professor in 1969, and was promoted to a full professor in 1983. Professor Ogino retired from Kyoto University in 2004. He was entitled Professor Emeritus of Kyoto University on his retirement. He also served as the president of Maizuru National College of Technology (presently NIT, Maizuru College) since 2003. 

The Department expresses our sincere appreciation to his contribution to the Department during his service and expresses our deep condolences for this sad event.
